I warn you this may be a bit long-winded! We have been BUSY! Let me update you on the boys/job/life situation. Dan got offered a job in Jefferson City. Pros....it's a job, he would be working for the state (which would give him good experience to eventually be a prosecutor, judge, and help pay back our loans one day), it's a job. Cons.....we have to move, I love my part time job, we love our church, we love our friends, we love our house, it's a very low salary. We went to look at houses in Jefferson City and fell in love with one of them. Dan planned on starting work on Monday while I stayed in Kansas City with the boys, packed up our house, and waited on the new house to become available. Then he got offered another job in Jefferson City for much more money but it is temporary work (7 months) and no benefits. After laborously praying and discussing the options we decided to go with the job security/lower paying job. God has provided for us so far so we just have to continue to have faith and trust in him. Well then he got a job interview with a law firm in St. Louis!!! So here's our new plan (it will probably change in the next few days because every time we come up with a plan, something changes). Dan will interview in St.Louis on Monday, meet with the Army reserves on Tuesday (oh yeah that's something else he's considering. It's 2 months for officer canidate school and then one weekend a month. That would be in addition to whatever job he takes. My amazing husband would be doing it to earn extra income so that I can continue to be a stay at home mom), go to work in Jefferson City on Wednesday. Dan will work 4 days a week for 10-12 hours so that he can come home Thursday night to be with us. If he happens to get the St. Louis job or any of the other jobs he's interviewed for here in Kansas City, he will quit the job in Jefferson City (kind of a crappy thing to do but he wants to be able to provide for us). I will stay here and the boys and I will move probably beginning to mid July. Wow I am tired just writing all that! As for my little baby boys, they are doing great! Noah is chatting it up and starting to say sentences such as the following....bacon hot blow please (baac, hot, bwow, pee). He is obsessed with trains, planes, elmo, dogs, and puzzles. Luke is an amazing baby, happy as ever and just beginning to laugh. If you've suffered through all of this ranting here are some pictures!
3-6 month bathing suit is a bit tight on this little chubby. He didn't like the pool at first but then once he got used to the water he gave me a few smiles!
Noah is SO much more timid in the water this year! Last year he would go right through the fountains but this year he barely wants to get wet, I guess it will just take some time and getting used to.
Here he is just smiling away again!
I am so happy about this picture. Dan and I love pizza but Noah has refused to eat it so far. We try it about once a month and nothing. This is the first time we didn't cut it up for him, just let him eat it like we were. He ate 2 pieces!!
Ephrem and Amberleigh came over so their mom could run some errands. Noah was hugging her and saying i yo you amlay (I love you Amberleigh). He's trying to make a move on Ephrem's baby sister :)
Both boys seem to be obsessed with trains. Noah kept saying train, oustide, bye-bye choo-choo (literally when he gets a sentence down he will repeat it continuously. It is cute at first but after he has said it 15 times it gets a bit annoying explaining that yes there was a train outside but it went bye bye)

that seriously exhausted me just reading it ;)...love and prayers to y'all during this time of transition!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm tired after that too---the thought of moving and having my husband work two jobs is yuck! You guys will do well because you always do:)
